Entering Freshman Scholarships
The University of Montevallo has other entering freshman scholarships available that vary in award criteria and amounts. Entering freshmen must submit an application for admission to the University along with an official high school transcript and ACT or SAT score by the indicated scholarship deadline.
A special application must be completed to apply for the following scholarships by the March 1st deadline.

- Ann Kohen Parker Scholarship

- Buck Creek Scholarship

- Ernest Slaughter Jr. Scholarship
Amount varies. Available to students with a high school GPA of 3.0 or above; above the UM average score for freshmen on ACT; record of good citizenship and involvement in activities during high school; financial need. - Gary Aldridge Memorial Scholarship
Amount varies. Awarded based on merit. Must have a letter of recommendation from the Boys and Girls club of Decatur, Alabama. Not renewable. Contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com, or (205) 665-6030.
- James I. Harrison Scholarship

- John and Bettie Meadows Scholarship
Must be an entering freshman that graduated from McAdory High School. Preference will be given to band students and athletes. ACT score must be at or above average for UM freshmen. Not renewable. Contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com, or (205) 665-6030.
- Justice Pelham and Gladys Morrison Merrill Scholarship

- Katrina Bethune Collins Memorial Scholarship
The Katrina Bethune Collins Memorial Scholarship was established January 14, 2016 by Tim Lupinacci in memory of his legal assistant Katrina Collins. The recipient must be from a Birmingham City School. For any questions, contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com or (205) 665-6030.
- Kilgore-Elledge Scholarship
Available to entering first-year student from Calhoun County. For any questions, contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com or (205) 665-6030.
- Kitty Stansell Dragonette Scholarship
The Kitty Stansell Dragonette Scholarship Fund was established on October 16, 2006 to provide scholarship assistance to deserving female students. The student must have financial need, be a first generation college student, and an average or above ACT score. - Lamont Franklin Scholarship
Amount varies. Available to students from Calera High School. Recipient is selected by Calera High School.
- Laraine McChesney Scholarship Endowment

- Lupinacci Recruitment Scholarship for CFA and CAS
The Lupinacci Recruitment Scholarship for the College of Fine Arts and the College of Arts and Sciences was established on April 18, 2012 to provide financial assistance to outstanding and deserving students entering the University of Montevallo or transferring from another institution.
- Mabel P. Sewell Scholarship

- Margery and Kathryn Purdy Scholarship
Awarded to outstanding high school students on the basis of ACT and GPA. Renewable with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com, or (205) 665-6030.
- Marguerite Hall Scholarship

- Maude Stallings Gross Alumni Scholarship
The Maude Stallings Gross Alumni Scholarship was established by Elizabeth Gross Flowers, the daughter of Maude Gross in July 1999. - Mildred Ophelia Estes Scholarship
The Mildred Ophelia Estes Scholarship was established to help non-traditional students with a 2.5 GPA and in the College of Fine Arts. For any questions, contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com, or (205) 665-6030.
- National Merit/Vulcan Scholarship
Awarded to a National Merit Finalist. Renewable with a 3.5 GPA. For any questions, contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com, or (205) 665-6030.
- Patrick Gordon Smith Memorial Scholarship
Amount varies. Available to a senior graduating from Priceville High School (Ala.) with financial need. For any questions, contact the Student Aid Office, finaid@a220149.com or (205) 665-6050.
- Protective Life Foundation Scholarship
The Protective Life Foundation Scholarship was established to provide financial aid to first generation students attending the University of Montevallo. For any questions, contact the Office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com, or (205) 665-6030.
- Rodney Davis and Mike Strong Chelsea Scholarship
The Chelsea Scholarship was established on February 25, 2005 by Rodney Davis and Mike Strong for entering full-time undergraduates from Chelsea, Alabama. The scholarship requires a student to have financial need, a 3.0 high school GPA, above average (23) ACT score, a record of community service and past employment experience. - Sarah G. Palmer Adult Returning Student Scholarship For Adult Returning Students
Scholarship available for adult returning students of any major. Usually awarded to students with freshman or sophomore standing. Must complete an essay of between 500-800 words. See English scholarships for more information. Scholarship is not renewable.
- Tara Owen Scholarship
The Tara Owen Scholarship Fund was established in December 2001 to honor the life of Tara Owen. The recipient must be an incoming freshman from Shelby County High School with at least a 3.0 GPA. - Trustmark National Bank Scholarship
Awarded to at-risk or economically disadvantaged students. Contact the office of Admissions, admissions@a220149.com or 205-665-6030.
- Vulcan Materials Company Scholarship
Awarded to one applicant (incoming freshman) each year, who is the dependent of a Vulcan Materials employee. Awards are based on outstanding achievement and community service. Amount is $3,000 and is renewable for three years as long as the student is enrolled full-time and in good standing with the University. - Wales Wallace Jr. Memorial Scholarship

- William Bradford Stephens Memorial Scholarship
