Welcome to University Outreach, supporting and promoting civic engagement, service-learning and community-based partnerships. We are a resource for faculty, staff, students and community partners who are interested in working together to make the world a better place. While this is a lofty goal, we realize that each incremental idea or effort brings us one step closer to true equity and parity in the world. We acknowledge that a university should be more than an ivory tower enclosed behind iron gates and that applied learning is transformative to both the community and the student.

While the University of Montevallo remains deeply committed to engaged learning, our top priority is the health and safety of our students and the community as a whole. Due to this, during the COVID-19 pandemic, unless otherwise specified and approved by UM administration, all outreach initiatives will be limited to low contact or no contact services as defined by our recently adopted recommendations.
